Why buy stainless steel jewelry?
If you like the metallic finish and require a robust piece of jewelry capable of withstanding moisture without tarnish or corrosion then stainless steel is a very affordable and wise option. Stainless steel jewelry is slightly similar in appearance to silver. It is harder than silver and will not tarnish which is why it is increasingly used in jewelry. White gold and sterling silver pieces often contain a metal called ‘nickel’ which can cause allergic reactions in some people. Stainless jewelry can be (but is not always) made without nickel making it suitable for those allergic to nickel. Depending upon the shape and type of jewelry stainless steel may be more difficult and hence more expensive than a corresponding piece of silver jewelry. Stainless jewelry does not have the same luster or shine as other metals but some prefer its slightly more metallic appearance. Stainless steel jewelry is more jewelry than gold and silver pieces and will not tarnish or rust as easily.

Why does Kjun use stainless steel?
Stainless steel jewelry is extremely easy to clean and polish. Stainless steel is an alloy of steel containing 10 percent chromium, which makes it resistant to rust and corrosion from water or moist air. By following only a few steps, you can clean and polish your stainless steel jewelry and have it looking like new.

How do I clean stainless steel jewelry?
Cleaning is simple. There are 4 easy possible ways to clean it.

1. Clean with warm soapy water and very gently. Use a soft cloth (like a 100% cotton) and gently wipe it. In case of brushed stainless steel, move your cloth along the grain of your stainless steel jewelry as you don’t want to leave your brushed jewelry with shinyspots. You shouldn’t soak your stainless steel in water.

2. For a grimier pieces, just use ‘plain’ white non-silica toothpaste (you can read from ingredient list, avoid whitening toothpaste) and soft cloth. And again, follow the grain of your piece.

3. Use stainless steel cleaner or jewelry cloth and gently wipe it.

4. Go to a professional.

Note: Always clean your stainless steel jewelry lengthwise, never in circular motion, and do it gently. Some people substitute window cleaner for soapy warm water to clean their stainless steel. Avoid polishes that contain wax. They can leave a film on your stainless steel jewelry.

How do I store stainless steel jewelry?
Although stainless steel doesn’t tarnish, it’s always best to store it in a sealed container for utmost protection. I always like to store all of my jewelry in a ziplock bag for both visibility and protection. In case of earrings, store the 2 earrings separately to avoid scratching.

What forms of payment do you accept?

How secure is this store?
This store uses PayPal for payments, and PayPal automatically encrypts your confidential information in transit from your computer to ours using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available).

Do I need a PayPal account to purchase from this store?
No, you are not required to have a PayPal account to purchase from this store. Although if you already have a PayPal account you may use it.

What are my shipping options?
At Kjun our goal is to deliver your purchase in the quickest and most economical way possible. We review each order individually, factoring in destination, weight and size of items. Shipping charges and delivery methods may be upgraded in checkout if consolidating items in your order will provide better shipping rates and times. The exact shipping amount for your entire order will be calculated and displayed at checkout.

Standard Delivery: We use the USPS Standard Delivery program while increasing our speed of delivery to 3-5 business days. Shipping charges are based on the total value of merchandise shipped to each address. Standard Delivery begins as low as $4.95 for items shipped to the contiguous U.S.

Rush Delivery Shipping Charges: For an extra $12.95, Standard Delivery orders placed by noon CT will be delivered in 2 business days. For an extra $24.95, Standard Delivery orders placed by noon CT can be delivered to most destinations by the end of the following business day. Please note: Some oversized items may incur additional charges. (Please note: All shipping charges include handling, order processing, item selection, packaging and transportation of items. When completing your order, you’ll have the option to ship items to one or multiple addresses.)

How long does it take for you to ship my order?
Every effort is made to process and ship your order within 1-2 business days. If an out-of-stock or back-order situation arises, we advise the customer as soon as possible to offer alternative solutions or refund the transaction.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?
Most orders arrive within 3-7 business days for domestic shipments, and 7-12 business days for international shipments. We will provide a tracking number from your postal carrier that will allow you to track its progress. Please contact us if you have any questions concerning our shipping costs or timetables.

What if my item needs to be repaired?
We hope you’ll never need a repair. However, in the unlikely event you do, we are happy to repair your item free of charge for up to 90 days after purchase. Please note, as our merchandise changes often, some gemstones may not be available for repair, in which case we will make every attempt to find something similar. We will notify you if this is the case.

Can I buy a single earring to replace the one I’ve lost?
This one we hear occasionally and we certainly want to help if we can. If possible we will replace a single earring, for half the original price of the pair. Please contact us and we will follow-up with you. In some cases you may need to send us your one earring so that we can create an exact match. Please note, as our merchandise changes often, we may not be able to find a design that matches your earring and thus it is possible we may not be able to sell you a replacement. We do apologize in advance if this is the case.

All earrings come packaged with a pair of rubber earring backs. We recommend that you utilize these backs, to prevent the earrings from getting lost and ensure the wearer that the earrings can be worn with confidence.
